Reductions (for children 3+)

In this section you can set percentage reductions or fixed amounts for children aged 3 and up, with the ability to define the maximum age.

  • From / To: the dates of the reduction validity
  • Number of adults: default All (for specific needs you can define the number of adults who must stay in the room with the extra beds whose reduction has been set)
  • Minimum age: enter ‘3’ if there are no specific agreements with technical department regarding the child’s minimum age
  • Maximum age: freely define the maximum age of the child to whom the extra bed is assigned
  • Child: the number of child rows (child1, child2, etc.) is determined by the number of children allowed in relation to the number of adults, as specified in the contract’s advanced options. The discount can be:
  • In % based on:

    • Tariffs/Extra: only if an amount has been defined in the Extra section in Tariffs, to which a percentage discount is to be applied
    • Adult Dyn: represents a reduction calculated based on the number of adults.

      The calculation will therefore be:

      Final Tariff = Room Tariff according to the number of adults (1+0 = SGL, 2+1 = DBL) + (Room Tariff according to the number of adults (1+0 = SGL, 2+1 = DBL) ÷ number of adults at the time of availability search × reduction percentage applied (e.g. 50% = 0.5) × number of children eligible for the reduction)

      Examples:

      Tariffs

      Reductions

      IN CASE A: 2 Adults, 1 Child (10 years)

      IN CASE B: 1 Adult, 3 Children (5 years, 10 years, 15 years)

      Reduction = 50% (0,5) - from 3 to 17,99 years - for each children

      IN CASE A: Final Tariff = 180 + (180 ÷ 2 x 0,5 x 1) = 225 €

      IN CASE B: Final Tariff = 100 + (100 ÷ 1 x 0,5 x 3) = 250 €

    • Pax Dyn: recommended for calculating the child price when it is equivalent to the adult price; it represents a reduction calculated on the total number of people.

      The calculation differs because it is necessary to consider children as adults when determining the type of room to be applied:

      Final Tariff = Room Tariff based on the total number of people (1+0 = SGL, 2+1 = TRP, …) ÷ total number of people × number of adults at the time of availability search + (Room Tariff based on the total number of people (1+0 = SGL, 2+1 = TRP, …) ÷ total number of people × reduction percentage applied (e.g. 50% = 0.5) × number of children eligible for the reduction)

      Examples:

      Tariff

      Reductions

      IN CASE A: 2 Adults, 1 Child (10 years)

      IN CASE B: 1 Adults, 3 Children (5 years, 10 years, 15 years)

      Reduction = 50% (0,5) - from 3 to 17,99 years - for each children

      IN CASE A: Final Tariff = 270 ÷ 3 x 2 + (270 ÷ 3 x 0,5 x 1) = 225 €

      IN CASE B: Final Tariff = 440 ÷ 4 x 1 + (440 ÷ 4 x 0,5 x 3) = 275 €

    • Adult in SGL: it considers the price of the single
    • Adult in DUS: it considers the price of the double single use
    • Adult in DBL: is the one normally used, it considers the price of the double divided by two
    • Adult in TWN: it considers the price of the twin divided by two
    • Adult in TRP: it considers the price of the triple divided by three
    • Adult in QUD: it considers the price of the quadruple divided by four
    • Adult in STR: it considers the price of the STR divided by the number defined in STR
  • Currency: if you need to enter a defined amount for the entire contract period. NB: in this case the amount entered will be the final amount (it is not subtracted). In cases of multiple amounts in relation to different periods, it is necessary to manage them in the Extra section in Tariffs
